GEOMORPHOLOGY, CHARACTERISTICES AND CLASSIFICATION OF SOILS IN SOME AREAS IN ISMAILIA GOVERNORATE, EGYPT

The current work aims to identifying the geomorphological, characteristics and classification of soils in some areas Ismailia governorate, Egypt. study area is located between longitudes 32o 06′ 45 22′ 30 E latitudes 30o 22' 57' 00 N. integration Remote Sensing (RS) Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques was used achieve this work. The geomorphic map produced by processing Landsat 8 image indicated that,the studied has six main units with different landforms.These are: 1) Depressions, 2) Terraces (including Low, High Terraces), 3) Basins (over flow basins Decantation basins), 4) peneplains (Low High), 5) Sandy plains (High, Moderate Low) 6) Mountain (Foot slope Crest). Twenty soil profiles were selected representing these units.The land site features are observed registered. dug, morphologically described, then samples collected subsequent layers each profile for integrated physical chemical analyses. The almost flat deep very well drained soils. Most have loamy sand texture parts clay loam texture. analytical data revealed that, slightly alkaline, mostly non-saline haven’t sodicity effect. moderately calcareous having Low gypsum organic matter contents. All studies haven't any diagnostic horizons, therefore they affiliated Entisols classified as Typic Torripsaments 89.4% Torriorthents 10.6%from area.
